ContactThree different jobs — cured concrete, forms before the pour, and asphalt
Ready-mix, paving, and construction crews often order the wrong chemical because the names sound alike. A concrete remover, a form release, and an asphalt release are bought for different moments in the job.
This is an internal comparison of ICD product jobs. It is not a ranking of which product cleans better. Dilution, dwell, and surface compatibility stay on each product’s label and Safety Data Sheet.
For hardened concrete already bonded to trucks, tools, forms, or equipment.
Browse concrete asphaltApplied to forms before the pour so concrete does not bond to the formwork.
Browse concrete asphaltRelease coats beds before the load. Removers take asphalt or tar off after it has stuck.
Browse concrete asphalt| Dimension | Concrete Remover | Form Release | Asphalt Release & Remover |
|---|---|---|---|
| When it is used | After concrete has hardened | Before the pour | Before a load, or after asphalt/tar has stuck |
| Typical surface | Mixer drums, tools, scaffolding, forms with buildup | Formwork and liners | Truck beds, pavers, tools with asphalt or tar |
| What it is not | Not a form release | Not a remover for cured buildup | Not a concrete dissolver |
| What to confirm | Dilution, dwell, and metal compatibility on the SDS | Application rate on the product sheet | Solvent vs water-based handling on the SDS |

No. A remover is for concrete that has already hardened on equipment. A form release is applied to forms before the pour so concrete does not bond. They are different products and different steps. Match the SKU to the job and confirm use on the product sheet.
Release is a coating put on a bed or tool before asphalt is loaded, so the mix does not stick. A remover is for asphalt or tar that is already bonded to a surface. Tell us which step you are buying for when you request a quote.
Every product links its Safety Data Sheet hosted on ICD, with ITD listed as the manufacturer. Review the SDS for handling, PPE, hazard, and dilution guidance before you request a quote.
ICD is quote-first. Add MOQ-valid quantities to a quote request and our team confirms account pricing and freight before you commit — there is no cart checkout or public retail price.
Still deciding which option fits your operation? Build a quote with MOQ-valid quantities and our team will help you spec it, or apply for an account.
This is a neutral, factual comparison of ICD product forms and chemistries to help you choose what fits your operation — not a performance ranking. For disinfection, kill-claim, or hazard questions, follow the product label and the Safety Data Sheet for the specific SKU.
